✨ 🥳 Celebrating a 10-year GYROTONIC®  transformational journey 🥳✨

The power of the GYROTONIC® Method is in its infinite potential and adaptability — it is anything but a basic workout!

The complexity of the method stimulates us mentally and physically it heals our body, makes movement pleasurable, and can be adapted to challenge us or support us through all of life's phases.

Our featured Mover of the Month, Stacey Warner, truly exemplifies the STAYING POWER of this incredible method. We first met Stacey in 2012 and we've seen her through becoming a mother, career transitions, becoming a certified Gyrotonic Trainer, and a cross-country move.

Read her inspiring story:
Before coming to The Seed Center, my career in international development frequently took me to Asia and Africa. Years of crossing many time zones, sitting on long plane rides, and working at desks left my body out of sync. Pregnancy in later life only exacerbated everything.

For years, I tried many different activities to alleviate increasing back pain. During and after my first pregnancy, the pain became acute and a friend recommended The Seed Center. Soon after starting Gyrotonic, the impact was immediately apparent—it finally brought healing, flexibility, and strength into my back, much more so than anything I had tried before! It also sped the healing in the rest of my postpartum body and allowed me to venture into my second pregnancy soon after.

Gyro holistically restored my movement and strength. The motions, all-body experience, and connection to breath are so unique and powerful. The fluidity and grace restore feelings not felt since my pursuit of modern dance throughout childhood. And, my renewed strength and mobility have helped me in other athletic endeavors and in daily life.

The Gyrotonic Method became one of my biggest passions. My interest in the practice continued to grow and sparked a pursuit for further understanding that led me to the Gyrotonic Pre-training Course, which hooked me even further. After further study and practice, I became a certified Level 1 Gyrotonic teacher and started teaching others at the end of 2019.

The pandemic and a move back to the East Coast temporarily curtailed that pursuit, but my practice has been a saving grace at least twice a week over Zoom. The caliber of teachers at The Seed Center is awe-inspiring. Their ability to pivot to online and keep the experience purposeful, meaningful, and restorative is extraordinary. As I settle into my new life in the Portland, Maine area, I hope to get back to teaching part-time and continue what has become a lifelong passion and adventure.

Thank you Stacey for being such a positive force in our community and it has been an honor to be a part of your Gyrotonic journey.
