GYROTONIC® Level 2, Program 2

In this 4-day course, Gyrotonic Trainers learn the Gyrotonic Level 2, Program 2 exercise sequences. This course builds on the Gyrotonic, Level 1 exercise curriculum by introducing exercise sequences that are more demanding in terms of strength, flexibility, and coordination. Exercise sequences include: an advanced handle unit series with an emphasis on flexibility and strength; an advanced hamstring series with an emphasis on flexibility and strength; two advanced standing upper-body sequences; an advanced floor work series; and an advanced abdominal series with an emphasis on flexibility and strength.

This course counts as a Gyrotonic Level 1 Update.

ABOUT TAMARA YONEDA:

A native of Northern California, Tamara’s early education was in Art. Her influences include nature, visual arts, healing, dance & performance arts.

In 1988, while studying healing and movement in San Francisco, she began working as a chiropractic assistant to dance medicine specialist John DeRoy, D.C., founder of White Cloud West, the Bay Area’s premier GYROTONIC® center. Tamara became a student of GYROTONIC® Expansion System innovator Juliu Horvath in 1990, who later promoted her to Master Trainer in 2000. 

From 1992-2002, as the Director of White Cloud West in San Francisco, Tamara helped facilitate the opening of many new GYROTONIC® studios in the USA. Today, she conducts GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Teachers Trainings in California & Hawaii. Her current studio affiliations are EPY Center in California and Wainani Wellness Center in Hawaii. Tamara moved to Hawaii Island in 2002 and, in 2020, was invited to join the staff at the Aloha Massage Academy in Kainaliu.
